What is our history? Witnessing our faith in Jesus, Yeshua in Hebrew, first within the Church, now in the community. Please help us live out our witness to Romans 1:16: "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile." In the year 1996, the vision of having a place in the West County of St. Louis, Missouri began to bubble up. In the year 2001, the vision began to spring up, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" (Isaiah 43:18-19).
The Logos at that time was a bottle of purified water which was used as a prayer contact. More than a hundred of those bottles were distributed and will be re-gathered at the dedication of The House of Living Water, where this water will be poured into a pool that will keep bubbling up. In December 2002, a committee was established to look for "a place." Over the next four months, the Vision was written, order was established, budgets set and papers completed and finally prayerfully sent off to incorporate. A temporary goal was set to raise $100,000. On April 16,2003, the first gathering of The House of Living Water took place. At that time an update their was given on the progress that took place in the past year. At this meeting, the new Logos was introduced.
Moving Forward in the Plan of God On May 5, 2003, The House of Living Water became a "not for profit" corporation. There, a board of directors from various churches in the St. Louis area were selected, with Evelyn Kinsella as it's President and founder. July 1, 2005, The House of Living Water opened its doors to the Jewish and Christian community of Chesterfield and greater St. Louis area. It was located in the Woodchase Plaza, 13379 Olive Blvd, Chesterfield, MO 63017. As we neared the end of the two year contract, it was determined by the Board that The House of Living Water needed to move to an area where it could reach out to more people. So we began to pack and place The House in storage. Two weeks before the contract ended, the agent for our reality firm came to the Friday "Prayer for Israel" meeting and announced, "I have a place for you!". And so he did. We have signed a contract for 12973 Olive Blvd. at Fee Fee and Olive Blvd. in Olive Arcade.
There is much to do as the vision unfolds. In God's time and with His direction, The House of Living Water will take it's place to draw those who are thirsty, that they may drink from the wells of salvation (Isaiah 12:2). "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink." (John 7:37-38). Call 314 628-9620 for more information. There is ministry for healing in the Healing Rooms, study both during the week and on weekends, movies and movie discussions, celebrations of the Feasts of The Lord, e.g. Passover, Pentecost, Tabernacles and weekly prayer for Israel and our own community. Plan to drop in at any time and hear a teaching, view a video, pray in the prayer room or just enjoy fellowship and conversation. Our history is still being made, and with the help of God's financial army, it will continue to fulfill it's mission in the community to those who would never go to a church or messianic congregation.
